![]() PC Games Cheaper On Gamedeal | Find The Best Deals of Games Here!įinding the right place to get the best game deals can prove to be quite a hassle when comparing game prices on multiple sites. But as I said earlier, WRC 10 is probably exactly the same game as this but with improvements and e-sports stuff happening. So this game is both the most accessible rally game, and one of the most difficult ones, depending on what you want.ĭo I recommend this game? Yes, if it is on sale, and if you're a huge rally fan and/or like brutally difficult driving games. But at the same time, the game has some of the most challenging stages to drive on, the WRC cars are probably the fastest cars since the group b era, which makes it even harder, you can crank the AI difficulty pretty high, and if you really feel hardcore, you can use the permacrash option on your carreer mode, which basically means you can't restart stages if you mess up. This game is perfect as a "my first rally sim" experience, because you can considerably nerf the AI on carreer mode and use upgrades and perks to make the driving easier if you're struggling, and unlike dirt 2.0, it offers infinite restarts in all game modes, so if you crashed badly (it WILL happen to you) you have the option of trying again. Multiplayer: 6/10, would be a 7 but the e-sports stuff is probably gonna happen on WRC 10 from now on, so all that's really left is the daily challenges which are pretty underwhelming compared to what dirt has to offer.ĭifficulty and difficulty options: 10/10. Just be aware the sensitivity is very high even on low settings, so learning to make small analog inputs is key. Gamepad support in Dirt 2.0 offers a lot more options and it's a lot better, but this one is definitely viable. With the default settings, tarmac stages are undrivable on gamepad. ![]() ![]() My tip is, remove deadzone, it will make the controls much more precise and less twitchy. This game wasn't made for gamepad, but I find it to be reasonably playable. Gamepad support: if you're not a hardcore simracer, you're probably gonna try to play this on gamepad. This game completely blows dirt rally out of the water when it comes to stages, except maybe for monte carlo, I find Dirt's interpretation of sweden to be scarier, but that has more to do with the ice physics being superior in that game. My personal favorite gotta be the japan rally, especially shitara. They're as close as you'll get to the real ones, and they're not watered down or made wider to simplify your life. Stages: 10/10, the best stages I've ever seen in any rally game except maybe for the rallysimfans mod for Richard Burns Rally. Could be that Dirt Rally 2.0 raised the bar too high on that one, but rally cars are some of the best sounding cars in the world and this game definitely don't do them justice in that regard. Engine sounds weirdly robotic at times, and there's 0 ambience too, you'll enter tunnels and hear no reverb whatsoever. As you would expect, the big effort went on the licensed WRC cars.Ĭar sounds: 4/10. If you wanna drive group b, group a, stuff like that, Dirt Rally 2.0 does a much better job on those. Could be that they have unholy levels of grip on snow.Ĭar physics/quality: 8/10 on the WRC cars, but a 6/10 on the historic ones. I can't say for sure, since I've never driven a WRC car in real life obviously. ![]() Better on tarmac than Dirt Rally 2.0, really good on gravel too, but probably a bit too forgiving on snow/ice. Physics: 8.5/10, solid rally sim physics. ![]() WRC10 is probably better than this one, but this one was a little cheaper and honestly the improvements don't seem that big.Ĭareer mode: 10/10, includes both driving and management aspects, rivals the depth of the F1 games career and it's a lot more in-depth than Dirt Rally 2.0's career mode. ![]()
